[ILUG] Apple Mac SE

[ILUG] Apple Mac SE

Hi David,

The FDHD refers to type of floppy drive the SE has. Some of the earlier Macs had '800K drives'. Later ones had 'High Density' drives that could store 1440K too, in a format that could be read and written to by PC floppy drive controllers. 'FDHD' means 'Floppy Disc High Density' and refers to those later kinds of drives.

The '1/40' in SE 1/40 means it has 1 MB RAM (gasp! :-), and a 40 meg hard disc.

Since both of these Macs are SEs you won't be able to get Linux to work on them. A pity really...

Cheers,
Brian.
