I'm investigating laptops at the moment, with the intention of
running Linux on one.
I want a reliable, cheap model, with a good screen. I've had
several K6/K6-2 based machines, and had excellent performance under
Linux, so I don't really care whether they're K6 or Celeron
based. No way I'm paying for a P-II :-)
I'll pick extra RAM and a larger screen over a few speed points
anytime, as they have more impact on things overt the long run,
in my experience.
So, where's the best place to get one? I'm quite willing to
build it myself if necessary.
Regards,
Vin
