indeed. a decent scsi controller and disk is money much better spent than
buying a 500MHz+ cpu for an IDE system. Price: well Symbios Logic cards
aren't more than a £100 and beat Adaptec's any day.. scsi disks aren't that
much more than UDMA.

i'd rather have a P2-400 + UW scsi than a P2-600 + udma.

yep. works quite well with the latest RAID patches from ftp.kernel.org.
RAID5 works very well too.

Now if only LVM and RAID could be integrated => RAID5 VG's!! :)
