As a quick summary (Thanks dave)
I did the following
--/etc/passwd
bw2k:x:2000:300:Bandwidth 2000 Ftp User:/home/bw2k/./:/bin/false
--/etc/ftpaccess
guestgroup bw2k
added a bin directory in /home/bw2k and copied ls/tar/compress into it.
works the finest.. (though untested) I'll find out what I've broken later when
I get shouted at.
