[ILUG] Linux Myths. The truth can be told!

It's only more intuitive because of Windows' ubiquity. Speaking as
someone who regularly has to deal with people who've never used PCs
before, I can say that to a certain extent it's logical; once [most]
people have been told how to do something (simple) they remember. But
it's *far* from intuitive.
For me, Microsoft's only valid point was the lack of a journalled file
system. Even that's on the way to being fixed; someone (sgi?)
opensourced their JFS recently. We'll probably see it in 3.0.
Of course, the point raised by MS betrayed an interesting worldview
(IMO); non-journalled file systems can take ages to fsck the system
after a crash. MS are assuming that because it's an operating system,
it'll crash frequently.
Or am I being to bigoted in my attitude to the poor chaps/chapettes?
