I checked around Mandrake's site, and found a few good things.
One was the 'build' script, which builds RPMs for x86 variant
architectures, k6, k6-2, cyrix etc. Read the short howto on
the same sites. It gives you a list of flags for those CPUs.
(You can upgrade RH to the niceties of Mandrake pretty quickly
by modifying a few scripts, removing egcs etc.)
Other tools in Mandrake:
There's Mandrake Update. Comes with the distro. KDE-based tool
to fetch updates. Another one, available for download, is
Lothar. It configures NICs and soundcards. I haven't managed
to download a working source yet, so I can't tell anything
about it. Damn these poxies.
