Interesting isnt it that redhat 4.2's su allows you to
type ahead before hand and have it accept the typeahead, while
5.2 upwards flushes the input cache before accepting a password.
sigh, im so used to untarring a file, typing su and the password
while its untarring and doing a make install and whatever, and an
exit all in typeahead, and its a nuisance to think that you have
completed the task only to go back to it later and see that you are
still looking at the su prompt !.
(technical term for this mistake is "action slip", for anyone who cares
about terminology)
