Hi,
If anyone's interested, I wasted yesterday afternoon writing a program to
generate HTML pages like the penguin from yesterday - PPM2HTML.
Usage: PPM2HTML ppm_file < Text_file > html_file
The ppm_file is an ASCII PPM file - I've used ones generated by xv. I was doing a
version which read raw PPM files but abandoned it - it's not difficult, if anyone
wants to try...
As an earlier attempt to post this was maybe rejected because I attached the
source (C - ~100 lines), I won't include it this time - email me if you want it.
The aspect ratio of the generated picture will be different to the source as
the font characters aren't square - prewarp the source picture in xv by squashing
the y-axis to 60-70% to make it look O.K.
ATB,
Aidan.
