Cable *is* faster than ADSL... for one user :-)

As soon as you get lots of people on a given cable segment, the bandwidth
goes right down again. ADSL may not have the full speed of a good cable
connection, but you don't have to share it with anyone.

Also, cable is basically shared ethernet, which means every bloody script
kiddie within range gets a shot at your machine. This is even worse for
Win9x/NT people, who can have their boxes taken down any time someone
feels like it.
