[ILUG] [OT] Busted BIOS

Hi,
    some boards have a jumper connection marked 'clear BIOS' or something
similar. Shorting this, powering up, powering down, wait 30 seconds, unshort
and power up again *may* have the effect of clearing dud values from the
BIOS  and may allow you to boot. Or it may not - but it won't hurt to try.

Failing this, you'll need  a new BIOS chip, flashed with the correct BIOS.
This can be done with an EEPROM programmer. Wander along to your local
electrical/electronic engineering dept. in the UL and ask nicely - they're
sure to have the programmer. Sourcing the chip might be a problem.
