Hi,
The authoritarian site for scanner support for Linux is SANE, Scanner
Access Now Easy. This can be found @
www.mostang.com/sane
SANE is THE scanner code for Linux. There are (Maybe???) other scanner
programmes, but this seems the most ambitious and complete. It also has a list
of compatible scanners and the level of support, I.E. ALFA, BETA, Stable ( Yea,
right). The developers are also quite helpful, however, sometimes you need to
write to them directly, rather than on the sane list. I've personally received
first-class support from several of the developers in trying to get my scanner
working.
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
John Gay
