first of all, im nearly sure ive sent this to the wrong place:( sorry.
Ive got rh5.1 and i installed it on /dev/hdb1. but my 3.5in drive is not
working, so i cant but the kernel on a disk to boot up from, and my lilo,
doesnt seen to want to install for me:(.
My rh CDROM is bootable, but i dont know the correct command line
parameters to boot up on the hd,
ive tried the
root=/dev/hdb1
, but the error i got is:
Could not find kernel image: root=/de.v/h
i guess thats not usual?
and ive tried linux root=.. and mout root=..
but they did not work, either i was told no kernel there, or it would
boot up into the cdrom installation
I am sure that i put it on hdb1
Does any one know the proper boot-up line parameter?
