There was an article in the business section of the Irish Times
yesterday saying there's a company in Dublin called Genesis (something
or other) who are 60 days away from signing an agreement with a telco to
deliver television over normal telephone lines.
I don't care about the TV, but the broadband internet access
possibilities are mind boggling!
It also works without making a phone call so it's "always on". I hope
you don't need some exotic peripheral and Windows just to use it..
Sounds too good to be true, but it was in the paper <sarcasm> so it must
be true! </sarcasm>
