I used to use photocopier transparencies in a 4000. No problem.
(Labels work fine too. Best to get labels specially for laser
printers though.)
If you use transparencies that weren't designed to be heated up, the
transparencies will go in but won't come out... You'll find them
(ahem) fused to the (expensive) fuser unit.
