[ILUG] [Wa y OT] Warnings about IE

[ILUG] [Wa y OT] Warnings about IE

I had to do it. Install Win98SE, that is.
With all its niceties, like IE5.0 and...uhm...others.

It installed smoothly - only four reboots on the second
attempt at installing it[1]. But that's not what I'm about
to report on.

I set off to reconfigure my system, tweak its settings, set
some minimum levels of security and so on. Then I found
something utterly, horribly WRONG in the Internet settings.

Completion. URL completion. Username completion. Forms
completion...and PASSWORD COMPLETION!!

Yes, that warrants TWO exclamation marks.

What sick <deleted> would even THINK of something like that?
Are their target customers really the Aptiva market? I do
certainly think THEY are stupid. At least I could turn it off.
They remembered giving people that option.

We have nothing to fear from microsofties. They will kill
themselves in time.

[1] This is sarcasm.

O- nny, not scared of the company - just their users
