yep, lm_sensors -> http://www.netroedge.com/~lm78/ provides the kernel
stuff+text util. and there's various WM applets which parse it and provide a
graphical view. (see freshmeat)

probably cause some clone CPU's had problems with HLT, eg Cyrix.
