You're using RedHat 5.2 right ?

Hmmmm 

If your Linux machine is using KDM or GDM (check out the /etc/X11/prefdm
link) you'll need to change it to xdm (which is the only one I found that'll
do XDMCP).

After that you might need to muck about in /etc/X11/xdm/ to configure the
access (probably not though !)
