  the LD_PRELOAD doesn't work for RH6.0.  It redirects
   a function call (man open) to a new function
   that sets a non block on the dsp device and then opens
    the device...  Now it gets stuck in7
   select...
   am trying redirecting the select func to see whats happening..
   then again I've got the source.....  debug printk statement...
