If I want to make a copy of one ext2 partition to another is mounting
the new drive and old drive and simply typing
cp -d -R -p -x /mnt/olddrive/* /mnt/newdrive
the best thing to do.
I have a feeling that this will cause problems with read permissions
on a number of files. Is there any utility which I can just pass the
device names of the two filesystems to and it will mirror one
onto the other for example?
TIA,
John.
