This story was also covered in last friday's Irish Times. I have
some vague connection to some of the people involved in the story and
have heard rumours that Media Labs are indeed looking for a European site.
They have already asked France and Sweden, and in both cases something arose
to make ML look elsewhere. ML is looking for extensive funding from the
government of the country they finally stop in. So it might still go belly up

The interesting thing about this story is who is Karlin's source ? as
the people involved are reportedly annoyed at this leak, it is very early days
, ML might end up in wales or scotland yet.
