Help !!
I've just done a standard Mandrake 61 install . The net card is working fine
I can browse the web and ping etc. I cannot telnet or ftp 'into' this
machine . I saw the earlier post and checked /var/log/secure and this is
what I get :
Oct 21 09:49:28 lxdub01 in.telnetd[615] : Connect from 147.204.134.58
Oct 21 09:49:28 lxdub01 in.telnetd[615] : error cannot execute
/usr/sbin/in.telnetd : No such file or directory
What am I doing wrong ??? The install ran exactly the same as all of the
Redhat ones I've done and they were fine . I added the lines into
hosts.allow as per the earlier post (rebooted) and it made no difference . I
checked /usr/sbin and the files are definitely not there .
Is this a bug or am I doing something really stupid ??
TIA , Alan.
