[ILUG] ESAT suffree and surf no-limits scripts.

Alan Sobey ags at tinet.ie

All the required info is below. People have described problems connecting
to Esat. Apparently the connection is slightly different than to
tinet/ocean. I got it to work using linuxconf (under redhat) and adding a
pap connection. I didn't use the usual chat scripts at all. Others have
used a utility called wvDial (or vwDial?) and it works apparently.

My questions for the list:
What is the difference (pap vs chap?) between Esat's settings and
tinet/ocean?
How/why do the "chap/pap-secrets method" differ from the "pppd call isp"
method?
Or does anyone know what I'm talking about and am I talking thru my ass?
