Yup...  You could probably do it with a clever combination of
POLY (evaluate polynomial), CRC (calculate cyclic reducancy check),
EDITPC (for formatting BCD numbers to strings, printf-style) and the BCD
instructions.  Sick, sick, sick...

Gotta love CISC, though!
