On a similair note, I was using RedHat Dialup Configuration tool to set up my connection to indigo which works fine cept for one major hassle: it won't resolve properly. I can ping any ip address I want, works fine, but if I do say "telnet alf2.tcd.ie" I get "alf2.tcd.ie: Host name lookup failure". The settings I gave to RhDuCT seem fine, and they work with Kppp.
So how do I tell wvdial or pppd where to find the DNS servers?
