On RedHat 6.1, the resolver(3) man page is just not there. Not in
the bind rpm, not in bind-devel. Nothing in /usr/doc/bind-8.2.2_P3
either.
I suggest to download the bind-doc archive from www.isc/org/bind. At least
that one is complete.
