]Last time I ordered direct copper from A to B was a few years ago -- about
]1995. It was exceptionally difficult to convince TE that nothing less than
]copper-all-the-way would do, and they even installed standard M1020's first
]in an attempt to convince me that they didn't do copper. Well, they do,
and
]they did eventually, but it was a fight. If anyone's on for trying to do
]this, they will do their best to pluck any reason out of their hats in an
]attempt to refuse to install the straight copper. Their favourite excuse
is
]asking you to guarantee that the line termination equipment is officially
]approved, and then they want to know why you want straight copper, and why
]won't an M1020 do and blah-de-blah-de-blah.
Didn't Telecom (now Eircom) ditch M1020 lines a few years ago and gave
everyone free or cheap upgrades to Dassnet 64K lines?
