morning again folks.
it turns out the deskpro I was using had screwy USB ports so
I had to get another box... this time a Proliant 1600.
unfortunately, the kernel won't boot, giving me a kernel panic
and a message about VFS unable to mount root (or something to
that effect... not on screen now).
the standard RH 6.1 kernel has no probs with it and I'm using a c&p'd
lilo.conf setup...
any ideas?
again, replies off list please, telnet connections are flaky and I can't
delve deeper than my inbox with atdot.
cheers
johnmc.
