Hi all,
I've put together a Perl script which will monitor PPP statistics and
report them back to a central server; with these stats we can measure peak
throughput at various times of day etc. I'll make the raw data files
available too.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to work out a way to monitor
disconnects, busy signals on dialing, etc. without hooking into wvdial,
chat, etc., and that's quite intrusive :(
Anyway, this script is written, but I'd like a couple of beta testers
first of all, as it's not greatly tested; if you're interested and you're
running a UNIX machine at the end of a PPP link, mail me, and I'll give
you the URL.
PS: nope, it doesn't run on Windows -- yet...
