[ILUG] UDMA add-on controllers

[ILUG] UDMA add-on controllers

Hi all,

I've a box to which I'm going to need to add about 40GB fairly shortly, and
I'm liking the look of a 40GB UDMA-66 Maxtor which currently lists at 169
(sterling, before VAT) at Scan. I may even put in two and use software RAID
on them. However, the box is about a year old, hence I'm sure it doesn't
support UDMA-66. I presume I can buy an addon PCI card which does this
(though I don't see one in Scan's list), but which ones are good & well
supported by Linux ?

Regards,

Niall
