[ILUG] Partitioning

[ILUG] Partitioning

Hi all,

Got a 20gig HDD today, leaving me with a total of 30. The plan is a
long-overdue full system reinstall. More specifically 3 Linux Dists, 1
BSD and 2 Windows. I'm basically interested in suggestions for the Linux
partitions. What partitions should be shared, how many different
partitions does Linux enjoy best? I was thinking just /, /usr and /home.
What ratio should these be divided up into?

Also, Slackware 7 will be the main dist and there'll be one sort of
'liquid' partition which I can use for testing. Suggestions for the
other dist? What has something cool that Slack doesn't?

Thanks,
Ross.
