[ILUG] Zip Drive problem

[ILUG] Zip Drive problem

Mark Fallon mfallon at ie.oracle.com

Hi,

I have got this working on 2.0.36 boxes but for some
reason it will not working for me today.

I am trying to get an external Zip Plus drive working off a
parallel port.

I have SCSI support and SCSI disk support enabled I have the
SCSI low level drivers for both the Zip and Zip Plus drives
compiled as modules. There is no lp support in the kernel.

I have been trying the following:
    insmod parport (parallel port module)
    insmod imm (Zip module)

But I keep getting imm.o: init_module: Device or resource busy

(Yes the Zip drive was connected and powered on at the time, also
there was a disk in the drive)

I have read through the relevant sections of the ZIP - HowTo but
could not find anything.

Can anyone think what I am missing out. I know I have solved it before
but I have got to one of those forest for the trees points.

Sorry Kernel version is 2.2.12-20 (latest update for RH6.1)

Any ideas?

Regards,

Mark
