Hi,
I was going through the menu from my gnome-panel just trying to tidy it
up a bit, like removing those two entries to The GIMP. Anyway I was
wondering
why the menu editor tool would not let me adjust all the entries in the
System menus.
It displayed more entry items then were configured.
I eventually found out that the menu is made by scanning two sets of
directories
/usr/share/gnome/apps
/etc/X11/applnk
but the menu editor tool will only let you edit the entries from
/usr/share/gnome/apps
So what I was wondering is there a tool that will edit both?
I have since tidied it up for my machine, but it seems apps will install
in
one directory or the other, so is the best solution to symlink one to
the other?
Regards,
Mark
