[ILUG] Root fs on RAID1

[ILUG] Root fs on RAID1

Ross K. Davis ross at csn.ul.ie

I have / installed on a RAID1 array. /boot is installed on a separate partition.
Everything is working fine excpet hat I'm getting a failure when I Ctrl-Alt-Del.
It seems that the system is trying to turn off RAID whilst the array is still mounted.
Do I have to change the order of my halt script or some such script or is there no work around??
Also, does the system wait for all data to be synced before shutting down and is there any way
of forcing a resync? I cames across an obselete command called ckraid that did this but from what
I can gather the kernel looks after it now...am i right in saying this!?

Oh, and I'm using RedHat6.2!

Thanks,
Ross
