I read a interesting/hartning slant on this someware on slashdot a while
ago. The scinario is that M$ is split up and Gates sells off the OS
devision and keeps applications/Internet. He then becomes Linuxes best
frend and releases office et at for Linux.
Can't see it happening but it is an interesting thought, afterall
applications is what Joanna Public are interested in.

Course they will. Gates may be a sad old tosser who creates shamefully buggy
software and doesn't roll around in his money in the nude (like he should),
but you have to give him maximum points as a businessman. He's had
contingency plans since this whole sorry affair started.
