After a couple of semi-duds, I bought myself an external Diamond SupraExpress
56e Pro. Works well, after an initial problem (I was sent a UK cable,
tut) -- but it still doesn't take away from the fact that accessing the
net over a 56k modem sucks badly.
I'm currently getting 100ms pings to www.clubi.ie (logged on via Clubi
obviously!), running at 44k, which is about as good as it gets on
my phone line.
I'd recommend it is the bottom line,
