I'd suggest looking through a few search engines, www.google.com,
www.linuxstart.com and others uding the keywords webcam and linux.
Chances are you'll find some relevant information.
There's also the hardware compatibility list although I'm not sure where
that's hosted. Again, search engines are your friends.
