I've installed Exim on a Mandrake 7.2 box. All seems to have gone
well, I followed all the instructions and got no errors during the
make and make install. If I run ./exim -bV it says my configure file
is fine.
However, when I actually try and start Exim, it just sits there
looking at me. If I Ctrl-C, I get a message :
exim: SIGINT received - message abandoned
2000-12-01 15:18:37 Cannot open main log file
"/var/exim/logs/exim_mainlog": Permission denied: euid=504 egid=0
I'm presuming I made a cock-up by just looking at the GID it's trying
to use. Question is how do I fix it?? And will it mean starting from
scratch...?
Regards & Thanks,
Alan Smith.
