>Sleep mode?? What exactly do you mean? If you're just looking to wait
til a process completes successfully before continuing, use '&&' as in:
]$ cd / && ls -l
which cd's to root and does an ls.
If you want to wait til a process is backgrounded successfully in a
script use:
(path_to_process $) && path_to_next_process
If this doesn't help mail me specific details of what you want to do.
