Try installing 3c59x/3c900 driver from kernel 2.2.17. I had to use this
for a Dell built in 3c905B TX 040-0483 chipset. It works but I have
problems when try to dump to a remote tape drive. Only get 125KB/sec. Do
not know if this is related as ftp across network is fine.
