It's lurking the in BIND 8's contrib tarball. Yes, it uses the SOA MNAME
and will try postmaster@<domain of lame namserver> if it can't get
anything useful from the SOA.

Not many I'd guess. That should be easy enough to find out. I'll knock
together a little bit of Perl...
