ok so you are sure that you can connect to the webserver.
in apaches config files the DocumentRoot is specified:
httpd.conf:DocumentRoot "/usr/local/apache/htdocs"
in this directory you chould have an index.html file, this should be world readble, 'Forbidden' errors are usually a permissions problem.
Failing that have a look in the servers error logs for problems.
