[ILUG] IT Books on the Net

Hi Donncha,

The two main sites that I use for reference are,

www.informit.com/
www.itknowledge.com/

You're right about the informit site, I preferred the mcp site, easier to
navigate and more books.

www.itknowledge.com/
The site has two main areas the free archive and the subscription archive.
The free archive has approx 500 books, Microsoft, Programming, Linux, etc..
related.
Unfortunately most of the books are over 18 months old, so the current versions
are not listed

However if you are willing to pay the $15 approx per month, then you have access
to the newer releases, I suppose they have to make some money to keep the site
active.

This site can be very slow sometimes and also that this site can be down early
in the morning, but is usually up again by lunchtime.

I have been informed that www.bol.com also have a free book section, but I have
yet to find it.

Regards
Brian
