chapters on OO programming in Sriram Srinivasan's Advanced Perl Programming
(see http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/advperl/).
OO stuff in perl can seem a bit messy when you first use it, but the
advantages are almost immediate if your working on any sort of large
project.
