Hi All,
These disk problems get more convoluted every time....
I have two hard disks in my machine:
Both are Maxtor DiamondMax drives, one 11Gb, one 20Gb.
Specs (cyl/head/sect) are 22332/16/63 and 39709/16/63 respectively.
When I tried fdisking the bigger drive from the running system on the
smaller drive, I got loads of stuff about invalid partition tables etc,
and when I partitioned it, still got the same messages.
Today, I swapped the drives, did a clean Suse 6.2 Install on the bigger
drive, running as primary master. All OK.
I then tried to mount the partitions on the other drive, running as
primary slave, which I know are (hopefully not were) fine. I got that same
no partition table message back.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks,
David.
