Yup, Network 2 news did a piece on Windows 2000, although it turned into
a propoganda piece for Linux in the end. Well over half the report was
taken up with how Linux is growing into Microsofts' biggest competitor.
The announcement of the W2K release paled into he background in
comparision. Owen was asked to give a short interview about Linux and he
spoke about the Open Source bit (having the source so I can fix bugs
myself), he was asked about the difficulty of using Linux and told the
interviewer that Linux was getting easier to use all the time.
Then they showed a few screenshots from www.gnome.org in a Netscape
session. (they had to scroll around the screen to show the full Linux
desktop).
I thought it was funny that they used a Mac at the start to show the
advantages of Win2K, but then they put the same stuff up for Linux so
fair's fair!

True, I even got a call from Una in marketing here about the DDOS .. It
made a bigger impact on her than all my forwarded emails about such and
such email viruses!
Donncha.
