[ILUG] Linux as a mail server

[ILUG] Linux as a mail server

Need to put this into io.linux.ie I think..

Anyway, take a look at install-sendmail, at
http://members.xoom.com/xeer/ or if that's down, look for it on
freshmeat.net, there's a mirror site listed there. This script will help
you configure Sendmail and get email working in a matter of minutes,
almost guaranteed!

Look for squid to do caching, it's dead easy to setup, if it complains
that clients aren't allowed to connect there's an entry in the config
file that controls access which is sort-of easy to find. Once you have
it installed, make all your browsers use "<IP of Linux BOX> port 3128"
as their proxy server.

Donncha.
