Hi,
I recently got a modem (my first!) and I've configured ppp to connect to
an ISP, and gotten nameservices going. Now I'd like to set up mail, and
make it play nice :)
What I want to do is have mail queueing locally when sent, and be fired
off automatically when I connect to my ISP. I've run install-sendmail
(thanks Donnacha!), but I'm still not sending mail correctly, AFAICT.
I also want to set up fetchmail to get mail from two fetchmail accounts,
and drop it to two local accounts, automatically on connection. I'd prefer
if I could do this in ifup-ppp, rather than login as root and run
fetchmail manually.
Am I thinking of this right? Is it enough to run fetchmail as root from
within ifup? Is there another more standard/nicer way to do it? Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Dave.
