Not sure if it's that particular one...... I have a Yamaha card on my 
machine at home, and I have problems with that one.
The system is unable to recognise it properly. I contacted OSS and they 
informed me that some of the Yamaha cards have a bug. Their drivers do not 
include a fix as their particular card is OK, and they are unable to 
replicate the problem.
The only way to get sound on mine is      sound on sound off sound on. I 
decided not to bother...by the time I pay for the licence and the Yamaha 
module, it would be cheaper for me to use a basic Soundblaster, which is 
supported by the kernel.
