To edit it you should be able to use "vi" ( or any other text editor ).
I would suggest that you learn the basics of vi as it is usually
necessary to edit small configuration files and it is quite a handy tool.

However if you are talking about the figures necessary for the "Modelines"
in the xf86config file, you might be better trying a tool like Sax - this
tool should be available for download from the SuSE site ( http://www.suse.com ).
