Then you can
cvs -d :pserver:USER at SITE:PATH checkout MODULE
Subsitute USER, SITE, PATH, MODULE as appropriate.
Instead of -d, you can use the CVSROOT env variable.
The login is only necessary once, the password is added to ~/.cvspass.
