 cvs -d :pserver:USER at SITE:PATH login

 (prompts for password)

 Then you can

 cvs -d :pserver:USER at SITE:PATH checkout MODULE

Subsitute USER, SITE, PATH, MODULE as appropriate.

Instead of -d, you can use the CVSROOT env variable.

The login is only necessary once, the password is added to ~/.cvspass.
